According to reports, the Lingnan Flower Market (in Guangzhou, China) sells 200,000 to 300,000 bundles of fresh cut flowers daily, with an annual turnover exceeding 2 billion CNY (approximately 275.6 million USD).
The flower planting area in Guangzhou accounts for about 30% of the Guangdong Province. In 2024, the city’s flower planting area reached approximately 320,000 mu (about 21,33 hectares), generating over 15 billion CNY (2.1 billion USD) in transactions. Guangzhou’s flower exports now span more than 80 countries and regions worldwide, with Phalaenopsis orchid seedlings dominating 60% of the global market share.
The Asia Flower Expo 2025, which will be held at the Guangzhou International Sourcing Centre Complex from August 21 - 23, will harness its platform to deepen global floral economic collaboration.
