Guangzhou Blooms, Connecting the World: A Grand Success for the Asian Flower Industry Expo
Themed "Blossoming in Guangfu, Cultivating the Future," the Asian Flower Industry Expo was grandly held at the Canton Fair Complex in Guangzhou. Spanning 30,000 square meters, the expo gathered over 300 brand enterprises and attracted more than 60,000 professional visitors and buyers. With deep participation from merchants across over 60 countries and regions, the event covered the entire industry chain. Featuring a Tropical Plants Theme Zone, cross-industry florist forums, and international floral performances, the expo showcased over a thousand new technologies, products, and solutions, establishing a highly efficient and professional trade platform for the global flower industry.
Building upon Guangzhou's reputation as the "City of Flowers," the expo focused on the growing demand for personalized and high-quality floral consumption. It comprehensively presented the latest innovations across the entire supply chain, including flowers, tropical plants, horticultural materials, garden supplies, florist essentials, and floral design services.
Throughout the event, the Tropical Plants Zone remained at full capacity, with long queues forming outside the venue before opening hours each day, driven largely by young consumers. A significant number of flower growers, florists, and landscape designers came specifically to source new products and seek partnerships. They engaged in intensive supply-and-demand matchmaking with professional buying groups from domestic and international floral associations, leading to numerous cross-regional cooperation intentions on-site.
Simultaneously, a wave of gardening influencers, plant enthusiasts, and young collectors flocked to the expo. Rare varieties such as Anthuriums, Staghorn Ferns, Caladiums, and Begonias were in high demand, with several booths selling out within hours of opening. After the first day, many exhibitors had to urgently restock overnight, yet still struggled to meet the overwhelming demand the following day. This surge of interest, from industry professionals to young fans, is accelerating the transformation of floral consumption towards "trendy and home-oriented" lifestyles. The expo successfully helped many previously niche tropical plant varieties break into the mainstream consumer market.
The event welcomed 4,336 international buyers from over 60 countries, including Russia, the USA, Japan, the UK, Canada, Australia, Brazil, South Korea, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, the UAE, the Netherlands, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Nigeria, and Colombia. Many international buyers noted that Chinese flowers have demonstrated significant comprehensive advantages in variety innovation, supply chain responsiveness, and cost control. Flowers served as the medium and business as the bond, fostering cross-border collaborations at every negotiation table.
Held concurrently, the 2026 China "Florist+" Conference, themed "Moving Forward with Beauty, A Path of Blooms," gathered seasoned owners and pioneering floral designers. They provided deep insights into cross-industry marketing and customer acquisition, offering florists a path from "blind imitation" to "personalized operation." Additionally, international floral performances featured diverse styles, from classic Ikenobo Rikka and traditional Southern Chinese arrangements to bridal bouquets and structural table designs. The Chinese Floral Art Joint Exhibition interpreted Eastern philosophy through six traditional vessels, while the Floral Installation Design Exhibition created an immersive visual experience centered on "Symbiosis of Wither and Glory, Rebirth of National Trends." The Floral Cultural and Creative Market brought together original handmade crafts, presenting a floral feast that combined professional depth with aesthetic enjoyment.
The cutting-edge brand lineup, spectacular events, and enthusiastic audience created a vibrant tapestry of the floral world. This was a successful event where exhibitors gained precise clients and market space, while consumers found desirable products and reliable quality. By building a bridge of trust between supply and demand, the expo completed a value loop of quality supply and confident consumption, delivering a highly convincing outcome.
After 16 editions of brand cultivation, the Asian Flower Industry Expo remains committed to building a global platform for exchange and cooperation across the entire floral industry chain, providing a one-stop service for industry professionals to showcase new products, exchange technologies, and connect with precise resources. The resounding success of this year's expo has revealed the immense potential of floral consumption and raised high expectations for the next gathering.
The excitement continues! The 2026 ASEAN Garden Life Expo will be held from September 10 to 12 at the MITEC Exhibition Centre in Malaysia. The World Tropical Plant Exhibition will take place successively from June 26 to 28 at the China Western International Expo City in Chengdu, and from December 18 to 20 at the Xiamen International Expo Center in conjunction with the Hongwei World Pet Expo.
